Note: This recipe is with already prepared Rice Cakes. This can be make with excess Idly Cakes
Main Ingredients
Rice Cake(Idly) 6 pieces
Onion 🧅 2 medium size
Green Chilli 2
Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
Pepper powder 2 tbsp
Turmeric a pinch
Oil
Indian Fries
Split Rice Cake into pieces like grate consistency
Take a tawa and add oil - keep the stove on a medium flame
When oil is hot add mustard seeds and let it pop out
Add sliced green chilli and saute for few seconds
Add finely chopped onion 🧅 and saute, now add salt and mix
Fry onions till it gets translucent
Now add the split rice cakes, add turmeric and saute
Frequently saute till it gets slightly roasted
Add pepper and check the taste, if required add salt and saute
It gets stick to the tawa, remove it using the dosa spoon and saute (this gives little crispiness while eating and yummy 😋)
Take out from tawa and serve hot
