Golden Mellows



Golden Mellows - a new eNalabaag Special and Unique Experiment. A sweet recipe and good for all type of functions and an instant one. Easy to make recipe in 15 minutes and yummy too. This sweet is prepared with Milk and Sugar.

Making of Milky Golden Mellows


Main Ingredients:


  1. Milk 🥛 - 1/2 litre

  2. Lemon 🍋 or Vinegar 2 tbsp

  3. Sugar 1/2 cup

  4. Corn 🌽flour 1 tbsp

  5. Water 1/4 cup

  6. Cardamom powder 1/2 tbsp

  7. Saffron

  8. Butter 🧈

  9. Oil

  10. Sliced almond (for garnish) - Optional

  11. Sliced pista (for garnish) - Optional


Making Milk Solids



  1. Take bowl and pour 1/2 litre mil

  2. Bring it to boil on a medium flame

  3. When milk boiling add 4 tbsp sugar and mix well on simmer

  4. Let it boil for few seconds

  5. Squeeze lemon juice or add vinegar and mix well

  6. When water gets light greenish switch off the flame (refer image)







Kneading Milk Solids


  1. Take a steel filter and cover it with muslin cloth

  2. Drain the water and cover all sides of muslin sloth

  3. Run cold water on the drained milk solids covered with muslin cloth

  4. Now squeeze the excess water

  5. Knead the milk solids without removing from muslin cloth



Making Mellows


  1. Take a bowl and add kneaded milk solids

  2. Add 1 tbsp corn 🌽 flour and give a good mix

  3. Now add melted butter and mix well

  4. Make round shaped mellows and keep it ready


Frying Mellows



  1. Take a tawa and add oil, let it gets heated on a medium flame

  2. When the oil is hot bring the flame to simmer

  3. Add mellows and fry it to golden brown (do it slowly not to over burn the mellows)

  4. Take out from oil and keep it aside

  5. Look at that nicely fried golden mellows yummy 😋






Sugar Syrup


  1. Take a tawa and 1/2 cup of water and bring it to boil

  2. Add 1/4 cup of sugar and mix well

  3. Add cardamom powder, saffron and mix well

  4. When it gets slightly thick consistency switch off the flame and move it to a bowl and keep it aside


The Golden Shining Mellows


  1. Add the golden fried mellows to the sugar syrup

  2. Keep it in fridge

  3. Serve chill eNalabaag Special Golden Mellows garnishing with Almond and Pista slices
