Cumin Seed Rice

Cumin Seed Rice is a very healthy recipe. This can be taken with dal fry or palak paneer etc. A delicious food which is a part of lunch or dinner.

Making of Cumin Seed Rice

  1. Riice 1 Cup

  2. Cumin seeds 4 tbsp

  3. Ghee 4 tbsp

  4. Green chilli 2

  5. Cashew 4

  6. Bay leaf 1

  7. Water 2 cups

Making of Cumin seed rice

  1. In a pan add 3 tbsp of ghee, add bay leaf  and add cumin seeds and fry till it becomes brown

  2. Then add green chilli and add the 1 cup washed rice and 2 cups water and add salt to taste

  3. Pressure cook on a medium flame for 3-4 whistles

  4. Take out from the cooker and mix well, check the taste and add more salt.

  5. Sprinkle pepper powder and serve hot

  6. Take a tawa and pour ghee and add finely chopped onion and fry on a low flame till it becomes roasted dry onion

  7. Spread this roasted dry onion while serving.  It will give an added flavour for the cumin seed rice

Cumin seed rice is ready, try at home.
