உ - பிள்ளையார் சுழி(Pillayar Suzhi) - A symbol of Lord Ganesha.  In Indian tradition before we start to write or begin anything, still in practice of writing this auspecious letter.  It is believed that anything start with this letter will bring Good Luck. 
 
பிள்ளையார் பிடி(Pillayar Pidi) - The image is the pillayar pidi.  Also there is a tradition, before we start pooja or cooking, with the use of flour, turmeric etc. make a shape using fingers and invocate (aavahanam) the shape which represents Lord Ganesha and Dedicate(Samarpanam) the offerings to God before we take the sacred food.
